HOME MADE OVEN FRENCH FRIES

HOME MADE OVEN FRENCH FRIES

I am sure that if you have children, they may have asked you at least once, to eat at the guy with a Scottish name ? Mine did. Twice a year : the 1rst day of school and the last day of school. Not more. But as any children they love to eat fries especially when it's cold outside. Just right now, personally, I would not refused a yummy fish and chips wouldn't you...?. So what can we do ? A friend of mine gave me a recipe of oven fries I was a little bit reluctant to try at the beginning...Good Lord ! Shame I did not do it earlier on as it was finally so good !
I have changed the procedure though, as usual... You can thanked me, you will not see the guy with a Scottish name for a while now...
Don't forget to buy the finest potatoes you can !

HOME MADE OVEN FRENCH FRIES
Serves 3-4
1 kg of potatoes (Charlotte for me)
A few tbsp of olive oil
A few tbsp of Paprika or/and thyme
Coarse sea salt

Wash the potatoes but DO NOT PEEL THEM.
Cut them into sticks (around 1cm thick).
Bring to the boil a large saucepan of salted water with the potatoes sticks.
Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 210.
Covered a large baking tray (or two medium), with baking paper.
Spread the fries on the baking tray so they do not touch each other.
Sprinkle the olive oil, salt and paprika/thyme evenly on the fries.
Bake for 30 minutes (return them halfway).
Enjoy !
